God’s amazing working in lives
An awful lot seems to have happened since last writing.
We were visited by a family from America, sensing the Lord’s call to work as missionaries in Scotland, with a possible specific leading to Uig, and an appreciation of the work we are involved in.
It’s early days yet, but we find it amazing that God would bring people from the other side of the world to work in this little corner!
We also heard of a local minister trying to get a group off the ground for local church leaders and Christian workers to get together, this has been an idea we have wanted to get going for some time, but there didn’t seem to be much interest, with everyone doing their own thing. The first such gathering has subsequently taken place, and while only a few came, it was good to be able to pray together, and discuss the Lord’s working in our various lives, and we believe others will come along in the future.
We are now patiently (sometimes not so patiently) waiting for baby to arrive.
Due on 3rd December, true to form, we are being kept waiting for a bit longer.
This does not mean we are twiddling thumbs however, since as you can imagine there is plenty to do at this time of year.
We are making preparations for various Christmas events as well as designing cards, letters etc. both for family and church.
Jonathan will be leading the services for a couple of weeks, but has delegated speaking responsibilities due to uncertainties of preparation times.
We are planning for a home birth, but if baby is too overdue we will be off to Inverness for a few days.
We have need of patience and the ability to submit to God’s timing and His will.
